i just...

am ready to do something productive with my life. any ideas? this whole working 2 jobs and then coming home and being too tired to do anything except watch reality TV is kinda getting to me. The weather is so up and down out here too.... i just want to go out and enjoy nature and the sunshine. (not that i'm complaining, cause the climate here is MUCH better than utah. ie, i haven't seen any snow all year long :)) ...... can anyone out there relate? like...i've just reached that point of, i want to do something good for the world or for even just one person. i just want to make a difference. is that so much to ask? i'm sick of working pointless (no offense to my current employers) jobs. i'm very grateful for what i have, don't get me wrong, i've been very blessed w/ employment..... but really, when you think about it...... retail and banking are pointless when all is said and done. what matters? putting a smile on someone's face who hasn't had one in days. months. years. i just love when i'm able to do that. anyone need a smile?! let me know what i can do for you, and i'll do my best to accomplish that. really though....i just want everyone to be happy! ... myself included sometimes. but i'm doing better! amazing what having a positive outlook can do. and a little sunshine.

Can it be? A post by Mikey?! I know how you feel though. Purposeless...and bored. But maybe when you are walking down the street, you can just look someone in the eye and smile. Help someone with their groceries when you're at the store. Because that might be the sunshine in someone's day. You can never go wrong with something like that. :)

Sometimes I think it isn't the job you are doing, but how you are doing it that touches other people. People still talk about how wonderful you were to them here at the Records Office. Helping people get transcripts isn't a real life-changing thing, but when you bring smiles to people, even for a moment, it can mean the world.

That doesn't answer your question, exactly, but I hope it puts things in perspective in the decision making process.

And although I don't want to increase your reality television watching, we must speak of Top Model! Did you know I started a Top Model blog? Visit it! topmodelobsession.blogspot.com. :-)

We miss you! Especially now that I have learned that you are coming to visit just at the point when I will have left Provo for good. Such sadness.

Ditto what Stacie said! However, I did not know of your plans to visit! When??? Sorry I don't have any good advice. I'm still trying to figure out how to manage my own life now and get more than laundry and dishes done each night...it's all worth it though!

Mike, I'm sure you make a difference in individuals lives without even knowing it! I've seen you do it. For instance, when we are eating out somewhere and you talk to the cashier/waiter/waitress/whoever as a person and not just a worker who needs to hand over the food asap!

I do understand the feeling though. Life's hard sometimes. I think the desire for change is in the air right now ... along with allergies.

I cannot wait till you are here! Party in USA! Miss you!

Last thing - Whenever I talk or see you, you always make my day a little better.

Mike you are amazing. And you make me smile and you make ME happy. That should be enough.

Whatever you do, Don't watch Hotel Rwanda. I did the other night and now I feel that nothing I can do can change the world.

i think you should always include yourself in the happy pool. and i think you should........ reduce reuse and recycle. That will put a smile on the planet's face.
